Theresa Majeed

Theresa Majeed is a film producer and co-founder of Concrete2Green (C2G), a cultural and sports platform working at the intersection of soccer, community, and urban markets. Through her work with C2G, she saw firsthand how limited access and visibility in many Black communities shaped who was included — and excluded — from the sport’s mainstream narrative, informing the need to produce this film. Can We Kick It?—shot over a period of three years—captures a pivotal moment as the U.S. prepares to host the 2026 World Cup, when the question of who gets to be seen, remembered, and engaged in American soccer feels especially urgent. A graduate of Spelman College, her work is grounded in a longstanding commitment to Black history, culture, and storytelling.
